We went on two one-day bike trips with Salta Adventure (Cafayete and Salinas Grandes). It was an amazing experience, a great company, and the greatest asset is the people. A huge thank you to Joaquin, who is the best guide we've ever met, and to Cezar and Alejandro. I recommend trips with Salta Adventures to everyone. Our family rated this 10/10! Exceptional! Such a fun way to explore the area. Alejandro and Joaquin could not have been nicer. They met us in Purmamarca and we followed them up the mountain. At the top we got on the bikes. Joaquin led us down the mountain and into the Salt flats. They were so kind and lent us gloves and extra items as needed to make us comfortable. Alejandro followed us in the truck ensuring our safety the whole way. We took breaks and Joaquin shared some information about the area and pointed out wildlife along the way. When we arrived at the salt flats we rode over the flats, stopping to learn about the mining of the salt and to take photos, while Alejandro set up a tent and prepared a delicious lunch. They were both so friendly and easy to talk to it just enhanced the experience. They were very accommodating to provide lunch for one of us that has Celiac and is also vegetarian. An Unforgettable 5-Star Experience with Alejandro in Salta! Our family of four, including our two teenage daughters, spent two full days exploring Salta with Alejandro, and we could not have picked a better guide. We are always very conscientious about the tours we select, and Alejandro exceeded every expectation we had. ​Our days were long and involved quite a bit of driving, but Alejandro’s energy never wavered. He was incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful, never showing a single sign of stress or any rush to wrap up the day. Instead, he went out of his way to ensure we got the absolute most time possible at every single location. ​What truly made the trip special was Alejandro himself. He is respectful, fun, and just a great person to be around. We had wonderful, engaging conversations with him about local culture, history, and even politics. A major highlight was when he took us to a more private, secluded side of the Salinas Grandes and set up a beautiful picnic for us—a memory our family will cherish forever. ​Even though we aren't hikers and weren't on a cycling itinerary, his passion for his biking tours shines through when he speaks about them, and it’s clear he brings that same level of enthusiasm to everything he does. ​We had an absolutely excellent experience from start to finish. Great partner for cycling in the area! Alejandro is a very friendly guy who knows both bikes and his region. When we had a technical issue with one of the bikes at a very remote place at Ruta 40, he kindly came to assist us, even when it was several hours of driving away. We wouden dat we tien sterren konden geven. We keken enorm uit naar onze fietstour met salta biking en ze hebben onze verwachtingen ruimschoots overtroffen. We deden de Abra del Acay challenge van zes dagen. Alles was tot in de details verzorgd door Alejandro en Mocha. Hierdoor hadden wijzelf geen zorgen en was onze enigste taak genieten van het fietsen, wat we volop gedaan hebben. Alejandro is een fantastische gids die ons veel info gaf over de cultuur en geschiedenis van de omgeving. Hij nam ons mee naar plaatsen waar we anders nooit zouden gekomen zijn. Hallo, ich suchte eine sportliche Aktivität in der Natur, nahe Salta... und Alejandro war so nett, mit mir alleine eine halbtägige Fahrradtour in San Lorenzo zu machen (40 km): eine perfekte Mischung aus Natur, Ruhe und Bewegung. Die Wege schlängeln sich durch die grünen Wälder; die frische Luft, Bäche, Pferde, Rinder u.a. Tiere sind herrlich. Eine tolle Möglichkeit, die beeindruckende Landschaft rund um Salta zu erleben. Absolut empfehlenswert für alle, die das authentische Salta fernab des Trubels genießen wollen!
